Gwen Frank's mastery of the etching technique is impressive, along with her aesthetic sensibility. Gwen has absorbed, processed and reworked her experiences of growing up on the Canadian prairies. This has resulted in extraordinary, evocative images with a fantastical, almost surreal quality.
