Artist Statement

My paintings are the work of a dispassionate observer who has been struck in a moment of solitude by the awareness of connection. Influenced by my reverence for the natural world, by the love of form and subtlety of colour, I cling to realism with the clear understanding that the physical world holds mystery if only I remain still enough to feel it.
