Kastner is a Canadian painter whose work focuses on the overlooked corners of urban spaces and the sacred nature of rejected things. Her images of abandoned structures and objects, including factories and landfills, convey a sense of dislocation within the altered landscape and an unsettled vision of constructed space. She has completed numerous artists’ residencies, and currently teaches at Binghamton University (SUNY) in Binghamton, NY.
